Terms & how we work
What you're agreeing to when you hire us, written so you can actually read it.
Last updated: 3 August 2026
No payment is taken on this website
Nothing on this site charges your card. The form sends us an enquiry, nothing more. We reply, we agree what needs doing, and only then do we send an invoice. If a website ever asks you for card details claiming to be us, it isn't us.
The free audit
- Price: free. No card is taken and nothing is charged.
- Turnaround: presented within three business days of us agreeing the scope with you.
- What you get: technical and local visibility findings, a competitor comparison for your market, and a prioritized roadmap.
- Format: presented and discussed together on a call. It isn't a document we email or hand over — if you decide not to continue with us, we're not able to provide a separate write-up of it.
- Obligation: none. There's no charge to refund or credit, and no pressure to continue after the call.
Ongoing work
- Monthly plans are quoted after the audit, based on your market and what your site actually needs.
- Billing is monthly in advance, by invoice. Payment is due within 5 days.
- Month to month. Either of us can end it with 30 days' written notice — no lock-in contract, no exit fee.
- Anything that touches your public pages is shown to you for approval before it goes live.
- Work already performed in a notice period is payable. Anything paid for and not yet delivered is refunded.
Prices and tax
All prices on this site are in Canadian dollars and exclude applicable taxes. GST, HST, or QST is added on your invoice at the rate applicable to your province where we are required to charge it.
What you're responsible for
- Giving us the access we need — website, analytics, Google Business Profile — in reasonable time.
- Making sure you have the right to use any content, images, or trademarks you give us.
- Reviewing and approving work when we send it. Long delays here move the timeline.
What we don't promise
We do not guarantee specific rankings, specific traffic numbers, or a specific position on Google. Nobody honestly can: search engines change their systems constantly and no agency controls them. Any agency guaranteeing you a number one ranking is either targeting terms nobody searches or telling you what you want to hear.
What we do commit to is doing the agreed work competently, explaining what we did, and telling you honestly when something isn't working.
How we work
We don't use private blog networks, paid link schemes, or anything else that has to be hidden from Google. If you've been sold those by someone else, we'll tell you and help clean it up. We won't publish fabricated reviews or testimonials for you, and we won't take on two directly competing businesses in the same market without telling both of you first.
Your content and data
You own your website, your content, and your data. Everything we produce for you becomes yours once it's paid for. If we part ways, you keep the work, the accounts stay in your name, and we hand over anything you need. We treat non-public information about your business as confidential.
Liability
Our total liability for any claim relating to our work is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the province in which Best SEO Agency is established and the federal laws of Canada applicable in that province.
Questions
Anything here you'd like clarified before hiring us, just ask: hello@bestseoagency.ca. We'd rather answer it up front.
